Saving Democracy (Part 2)
Thursdays, 1 - 3 pm
Facilitator: Ellen Moceri
The drum beat from many historians, political scientists, pundits, and journalists suggests that the 2024 election will be the most significant since the Lincoln election in 1860. In addition to our election, 2024 will host the most national elections for democracy in recent history. Leveraging articles from The Atlantic magazine to stimulate thought, we will discuss the issues and politics in the run-up to the election. The facilitator will prepare a presentation based on an article from The Atlantic for the first hour of class. Class members may select an article of their choice from The Atlantic to present during the second hour. Time will be provided for discussion.
