Mathematics: Another Chance

We all studied math in high school to one extent or another. Some of us were enthused and built our careers based on our interests in math and science. Others found it uncomfortable and bizarre, never to be dealt with except in case of absolute necessity. This course is intended to bridge both worlds with a goal of understanding fundamental concepts and being entertained by the joy of exploration without the drudgery of homework and tests that we experienced in high school. We will select topics of interest from our easy-to-read textbook. Our hope is that classes will be filled with both presentation and engaging discussion based on readings.
