Poetry Writing Workshop

Tuesdays, 1 - 3 pm

In this poetry workshop we will focus on using various elements of poetry to enhance our poems. Each week, we will focus on a different element (image, sound, line) or technique. Participants are encouraged to bring examples from published poems to use as “mentor texts” in addition to drafting their own poems. Some weeks will focus on original content and others will focus on revision. Most of class time will be devoted to giving constructive and supportive feedback to each other. Come explore your poetic soul and see the world through a poet’s eyes!
