Poetry for the Fun of It
Thursdays, 10 am - 12 pm
Facilitator: Benjamin Sandler
This course aims to make good poems more accessible and enjoyable. The facilitator reads, and participants respond; together we will learn what each poem has to offer, without striving for technical mastery. There are no wrong answers. There is no homework.
The vehicle for our process of discovery is the sonnet, usually 14 lines. A course manual will be available for purchase. This collection includes famous poems by famous poets, and many poems by poets who are not so well-known. They are all worthy of our attention. A course manual will be available for purchase at a cost of $10.
Please note: participants are requested to wear masks in this class.
