Wonderful World of Plants

Thursdays, 10 am - 12 pm

This course explores plants and all that they are connected to, which means all of life on earth. We will learn how plants evolved, how humans began using plants for shelter, clothing and food, how plant are a large part of our economy, how we have cultivated plants simply for their beauty, how we use plants for treating disease, and how plants are a bulwark against climate change. This class involves both short lectures and group discussion. It also involves pre-viewing selected videos before class in preparation for group discussion.
