February 16, 2024
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
St. Louis Art Museum, One Fine Arts Drive, Forest Park, St. Louis, MO 63110

Bingham became a fervent Whig supporter after the collapse of the banking system in 1837. His genre paintings, river scenes, and crowded election depictions are peppered with political innuendo.

Join us at the St. Louis Art Museum for a gallery talk, showing how politics and painting intertwined in the Election Series oeuvres.
